Regional features of the development of mass sports in the Kamchatka territory

This article studies of the specifics of managing the development of mass sports in the Kamchatka Territory. The regulatory and legal documents regulating management activities in this area were analyzed, a comparative analysis of the average Russian indicators of the development of mass sports with regional ones was carried out. The analysis of scientific and methodological literature made it possible to identify the fundamental conditions that have developed in the Kamchatka Territory, which hinder the effective management of the development of mass sports on its territory. It is noted that to date, state programs for the popularization and development of physical culture in the Kamchatka Territory are being developed. However, they are not focused enough on taking into account regional peculiarities and they are outside the competence of the local self-government body in the conditions of existing restrictions (financial, personnel, etc.). It is summarized that in order to develop effective management impact on the development of mass sports in the conditions of the Kamchatka Territory, it is necessary to consider the identified fundamental conditions in the region and ensure interdepartmental interaction of executive authorities.
