Regulation of liability for negligent infliction of death: comparative legal analysis of the legislation of the CIS countries

In the presented article, the author analyzes the features of the legislative approach to the regulation of liability for causing death by negligence in the criminal law of the CIS countries. The establishment of qualifying signs, types and sizes of punishments is investigated. The author examines the substantive aspects of restriction of freedom as a type of punishment in the CIS countries; gives practical examples of prescribed measures that do not comply with the fundamental principles. As a result, some recommendations for improving the current legislative and law enforcement approach in this area are presented.
