Recommended degree reinforcement and composite reinforcement area calculation method for bent reinforced concrete elements

This article deals with the determination of the permissible degree of reinforcement, which will increase the strength of building structures without compromising their further operation, and the method of calculating the optimal area of external reinforcement. Depending on the ratio of permanent and temporary loads, the minimum and maximum permissible degree of reinforcement of reinforced concrete elements is determined. The iterative method of calculating the area of external reinforcement, which requires considerable time and may not always be effective, is described, and an alternative method based on universal statics equations is proposed, which can simplify the design and increase the accuracy of calculations.
