The article investigates the form of representation of historical past in the neo-Victorian novel as the most popular event in the modern British Literature. Based on the novel Fingersmith by S. Waters the analysis considers the element of neo-Victorian and post-modernist plot and detects the basic narrative techniques of the novel.
