This article deeply discusses the triadic sign relation of cultural symbols, the mode of translation and the mechanism of their encoding and decoding in theme restaurants. Based on Peirce's semiotic theory, this paper systematically analyzes the design expression of cultural symbols in theme restaurants. Through the case study, the semiotic expression model of themed catering space design is constructed from three aspects: the establishment of internal logic, the transformation of symbolic meaning, and circular interaction and dissemination. The conclusion of the article is that applying Peirce's triadic sign system in the design of cultural symbols for theme restaurants creates a dynamic cross-cultural information dissemination mechanism, which helps stimulate a deeper understanding and cognition of cultural connotations, thereby facilitating a continuous cycle of cultural information exchange.
