Representation of corporeality in Mo Yan's novel “Pow!”

The article is focused on the analysis of ways of corporeality representation in the novel “Pow!” by the modern Chinese writer - winner of the 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature. - Mo Yan. His work belongs to one of the literary trends in China - «literature of root search». In the novel “Pow!” Mo Yan uses values, meanings and meanings characteristic of traditional Chinese culture to analyze problems of human corporeality, so passion and sensuality are expressed by him using images of food, animals and color. The author demonstrates that the fullness of human existence in the analyzed work is symbolized by the red color, meat, and paired animals, which are especially revered in China. The present publication for the first time in Russia explores the reflection of the features of traditional Chinese worldview in the novel “Pow!” by Mo Yan, published in Russian in 2021.
