Reputational capital of companies of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan

This is a review article on large companies in Tatarstan in various sectors, highlighting reputational assets and success factors. This article also reveals the theoretical aspects of the structure and factors influencing reputational capital. The analysis of Tatarstan companies with high reputational capital by economic sectors is carried out, namely: oil and gas and petrochemical industry; mechanical engineering and automotive industry; IT sector; construction; energy sector; agriculture and food industry; trade (retail) and tourism; education. The elements of the reputational capital of successful companies in the Republic for each sector are considered. For the oil and automotive industry, the main reputational assets are: scale of production, quality and reliability of products (often of strategic importance), contribution to the economy of Tatarstan and Russia, stability, social programs for employees and their families (cityforming enterprises). In addition, companies in these industries fulfill government orders, long-term contracts, inspire investor confidence, employee loyalty, and receive the support of regional authorities. For IT companies, among their reputational assets, innovation, expertise, the quality of solutions being developed, and attractiveness to IT specialists should be highlighted. The main factors among them are modern office design, organizational culture, and world-class case projects. As practice shows, the successful development of IT companies is influenced by attracting large customers (including international ones), investments, and the concentration of the best developers from all over the country in the region, who are in demand on the global market. The Republic of Tatarstan as a region has a reputation as a competence center for IT specialists. Tatarstan construction companies have such reputational assets as the quality of constructed facilities, compliance with deadlines, reliability of the developer, transparency of transactions, and creation of a comfortable urban environment. The main factors influencing the success of construction companies in the republic are the high demand for housing and commercial real estate, the trust of buyers and shareholders, and the successful completion of approvals. For successful companies in Tatarstan, reputation capital is a strategic resource that builds long–term relationships and ensures sustainable development.
