Resolution of transportation challenges in the context of ecological humanization of a modern city (sociological aspect)

The paper discusses the topical issues of the contemporary philosophy of science and technology, which regard the efficient development of transport infrastructure and its influence on the processes of planning organization and development of the environmental space of modern cities. The author focuses on the possibility of creation of a free space in resolution of transport and ecological problems of the city, complying with the interests of high comfort and quality of urban population’s living. The tasks of humanization of the city environment by introduction of environment-friendly modes of personal and public transport, smart restriction of traffic and prioritization of pedestrian rights are considered in the research.
