The article presents the author’s view on the concept of «intensive learning», discusses the goals and features of intensive English language teaching and the key tasks of the author’s methodology for constructing teaching communicative situations. The stages of formation of foreign language communicative competence at the initial, intermediate and advanced levels of English language acquisition are presented. The pedagogical conditions of the effectiveness of the organization of educational activities, the principles of the selection of educational material and the construction of the educational process are described. The positive influence of the author’s methodology on the formation of foreign language communicative competence and the formation of the personality of a competent specialist is shown.
