Resource provision and efficiency of health care establishments of Siberian federal district

The aim of work is conduction of research of healthcare resource potential in the constituent entities of Siberian Federal District (SFD) in progress for the period of 2000-2008. The following methods of scientific research have been implemented in accordance with the aim of this survey: analytical, statistical. In the course of this research the following aspects have been studied: quantity dynamics of patient and outpatient health care establishment, provision of beds for patients, outpatient polyclinic establishments, level of hospitalization, efficiency indexes of bed-space using - amount of days of bed utilization per year, average time, during which patients occupy beds, bed-space turnover, lethality rate, amount of visits of 1 resident per year, coverage of the population by periodic screening, addressing emergency call service for help, indexes of doctor availability and junior medical staff, indexes of qualification of medical personnel. Effective use of health care resources enabled provision of high availability and quality of medical care to residents of the significant part of the SFD territory. New phase of development of health care system in SFD is related to modernization under the Healthcare development conception up to 2020, which is being developed by Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation.
