Retrospective of Sports Development in Kamchatka Krai (2015–2023)

The article examines changes in the structure and dynamics of sports development in the Kamchatka Territory during 2015–2024 based on official federal statistical observation data. The aim of the study is to conduct a retrospective analysis of the development of sports in the Kamchatka Krai for the period 2015–2024 using data from the federal statistical reporting form No. 1-FK. The research employs methods of retrospective analysis, statistical grouping, and cluster analysis of time series reflecting the number of participants. The findings demonstrate that the overall increase in population involvement in sports activities is accompanied by substantial differentiation among sports in terms of growth rates and development patterns. It is established that the expansion of participation is concentrated in a limited number of sports, while a range of disciplines maintains only a formal presence within the statistical reporting system. The results obtained substantiate the feasibility of transitioning to a priority-based and targeted approach to managing the development of physical culture and sport at the regional level.
