Revolutionary-democratic mythology as the basis of Soviet history of Russian literature

The crisis in the study of Russian literature is being investigated. Its origins are revealed, which go back to revolutionary-democratic mythology. It points to the religious foundations of this mythology, which sharply distinguish it from the Christian picture of the world. The relationship between the Soviet history of Russian literature and revolutionary-democratic criticism is traced. The common denominator is stressed: the European "left myth", which opposes the Christian tradition.
