Effectiveness of polyathlon athletes in a sports discipline of summer pentathlon depending on qualification

The analysis of competitive activities of polyathlon athletes in a sports discipline of summer pentathlon has been presented in the article. The results of the performances of polyathlon athletes of high qualification which have been divided into three groups have beenanalyzed: Candidates for Master of Sports, Master of Sports and Master of Sports of International Class. The main task was to determinethe influence features of the performance efficiency of polyathlon athletes in separate tests of sports discipline of summer pentathlon on the final result in the competitions. The particular attention was paid to the identification of a competitive profile of polyathlon athletes depending on their qualification. The competition protocols of 56 athletes have been subjected to mathematical processing: t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and multidimensional scaling.
