Results and prospects of oil crops breeding in conditions of southern forest-steppe in West Siberia

The history of development of breeding work with oil crops in Siberian experimental station of VNIIMK is represented in the article. The results of work and the prospects of brand new early ripening varieties of sunflower, oil flax, rapeseed, turnip rapeseed and false flax are presented. 16 varieties of 5 oil crops, developed at the Siberian experimental station of VNIIMK, admitted to the use in 2011, were included into the State register of breeding achievements, 4 varieties are under variety trial.
