The results of studying the trait collection of flax with the modified fatty acid composition of oil

The data of studying the flax sample k-2001 with linolenic acid content of oil of 5.8 % against 53-54 % in standard variety VNIIMK 620 are shown. The flax lines with low linolenic acid content selected from the sample k-2001 showed wide variation limits of the main agronomic, morphological and biochemical characters and this characterizes its value as breeding material for modifying the fatty acid composition of oil. There was discovered the high, considerable at the 5 % significance level, negative correlation between the content of linoleic and linolenic fatty acids (r = 0.93) in low linolenic flaxseed oil.
