The study examines one of the ways to assess the difference between some Pinusmugo Turra cultivars in terms of a set of morphological characteristics. The study discusses the traits that are supposedly important in the identification of the cultivars, such as the length of assimilating leaves in the upper part of the auxiblast, the length of assimilating leaves in the middle part of the auxiblast and the length of assimilating leaves in the lower part of the auxiblast, the length of the scaly leaves of the brachyblasts, the length of the scale-like leaves of the auxiblasts, the length of the current auxiblast, years, apical kidney ovality index, lateral kidney ovality index, height at 10 years of age, maximum width at 10 years of age, and distance from the base to the circumference of the maximum diameter. The results of the analysis of the variance carried out on each trait separately showed that the studied cultivars significantly affected the variability of the studied morphological traits. It follows from this statement that the studied cultivars, such as Little Lädy, Litomysl, Kissen, Mops, Trompenburg, Winter Gold, Ophir, and Gnom, selectively significantly differ from each other in all the studied morphological characteristics. Thus, it would be expedient to assume that the more reliably proven total differences between the pairs of studied cultivars in terms of experimental morphological characters, the more the cultivars differ from each other and the easier it is to determine them. And vice versa, the fewer the reliably proven total differences between the pairs of the studied cultivars by experimental morphological characteristics, the less cultivars differ from each other and the more difficult it is to determine them. In this work, all possible variants of differences and similarities of cultivars for the studied traits are considered. The work was carried out within the framework of a state assignment.
