Modern geopolitical situation, demographic and economic crisis in Russia demand all possible efforts to preservation and increase the labour activity of able-bodied population of the country. Surgical prophylaxis of ischemic stroke in young patients has huge value in decrease of death rate and disease of able-bodied population from cerebrovascular pathology. In this article analyzed the direct results of primary reconstructive operations on the carotid arteries was performed under regional anesthesia, in the age group up to 60 years. In the group of patients of working age dominated by patients after stroke. In this connection expansion of indications to revealing asymptomatic stenosis of carotid arteries and their surgical treatment is actual.
