The article describes and analyzes a set of Russian proverbs that contain personal names. The appearance of such words, which name people of different genders in Russian proverbs, is conditioned by a set of extra-linguistic and linguistic factors. Models with a deliberate inclusion of proper names into similar by syntactic structure groups of Russian proverbs are described. The choice of a personal name, rather accidental by nature, is determined by the word it rhymes with. Models, which include rhyming with proverbs containing animali, are described and analyzed. It is shown that the most frequently met models are the ones that incorporate possessive or attributive pronouns: our, everyone, everybody. It is argued that the lack of close connection between a proper name of the proverb with a single distinct object, recognized by many researchers, explains their rather formal usage in Russian proverbs. The article may present a particular interest to the specialists in the field of onomastics, paremiology, and research rhymes.
