Figure: yesterday, today, tomorrow

In this paper, the essence of the concept of academic drawing and the importance of teaching this discipline in the preparation of future artists is revealed. The main problems in the training of future specialists of this profile are determined, in particular: reduction of the period of training; change curricula of universities to the detriment of core disciplines; not the perfection of teaching methods; poor quality of specialized literature, etc. The author has established three possible forms of errors in drawing, and proposed the main preventive measures in the learning process.
