Parental support is particularly important in the psychological and pedagogical support of students in an inclusive education. Parents play an important role in developing the ability of a child with disabilities to correctly assess the behavior of others and attitude towards oneself. Emotional immaturity, undeveloped self-esteem and poor regulation of behavior in children with developmental delay complicate communication and independent solution of problem situations of interaction with people around. The authors present the characteristics of parental support for junior schoolchildren with developmental delay. The results of the study showed that the children's assessment of parental support does not always coincide with the assessment of the teacher of an inclusive class. The data were obtained that the subjective perception of attitude towards oneself in younger schoolchildren with developmental delay is associated with the qualitative characteristics of parental support.
