The native language as a foundation of the Russian national educational system in the works of the participants of socio-pedagogical movement in the 60s of the XIX century

The article reviews opinions of the participants of socio-pedagogical movement in Russia in the 60s of the XIX century on the problem of the native language. Among them there were educators, writers, linguists and public figures. Their thoughts of the native language, its role in the moral education of future citizens have contributed to the development of the Russian national education system.
