Motor activity for healthy children is just an ordinary need that is realized on a daily basis. For children with disabilities, physical exercises are vital, as they are the most effective means, method of physical, mental, and social adaptation at the same time. In this article, the authors consider such a concept as "adaptive physical culture", which develops motor and physical abilities, corrects disorders, improves health and promotes disabled people to other strata of society. The article also pays attention to the emergence in the process of adaptive physical education in children with disabilities of a conscious attitude to their strengths and confidence in them, because for many disabled people and children with developmental disabilities, adaptive physical culture is the only way to "break" a closed space, enter society, make friends, get the opportunity to communicate and full - fledged emotions.
