Role of private institutions of art world in the appearance of street wave art

In this research, we consider the ways in which street wave art penetrates contemporary art. Based on the method of discursive analyses by M. Foucault, we try to determine through which discursive statements the subjects of the art world help to build the discourse of street wave art. The subject whose activity we are studying is the Moscow Ruarts Foundation. The article presents the features that allow us to identify the Foundation’s actions that can be considered as statements. We also describe the way in which these statements are organized. In particular, we consider the order of describing, statement dependencies, rhetorical schemes, the field of presence, the area of memory, etc. In conclusion we stress the binary character of street wave art: it allows to expand the field of contemporary art at the expense of what was once in the field of “non art”.
