The role of a distribution agreement in the system of civil agreements in the Russian Federation

The purpose of the study is to analyze the problematic issues of the regulatory framework associated with the absence in the Russian legal system of a distribution agreement as a separate one. The distribution agreement specifies and defines the relationship between the manufacturer or supplier and the company that undertakes the sale of products, including promotion. The topic is relevant for many areas of business: from energy and pharmaceuticals to cosmetics and household chemicals - and has been repeatedly raised in dissertations, articles and other scientific works. Research methods include searching, collecting, processing, analyzing, interpreting and organizing information on the topic of the article. As a result, the need for licensing in case of transfer of intellectual property rights within the framework of distribution is emphasized, as well as the importance of improving the norms of the current legislation: to assign an official status to the distribution agreement in the regulatory system of the Russian Federation.
