The role of gender stereotypes in the formation of ethno-cultural identity of young people

This article analyzes the concept of "gender stereotypes", the features of such essential characteristics of gender stereotypes as "femininity" and "masculinity". The influence of ethno-cultural values in the process of socialization of youth on the strengthening of traditional gender stereotypes of "masculinity" and "femininity" is determined in the further self-determination of youth. The levels of gender stereotypes are revealed and their modern distribution among the youth of Kyrgyzstan and their role as an ethno-cultural identifier.
