Germany’s Role in NATO Regarding the Context of the World Order Crisis Transformation

This article is devoted to clarification of the current status of the Federal Republic of Germany within the NATO alliance. New external challenges associated with the world order crisis transformation was the occasion for Berlin to reinforce its defence potential. Such task is directly related to the factor of Germany’s membership in the North Atlantic Bloc. In this context, the military buildup of the federal army promotes not only to the national combat capability improvement, but also strengthens the country’s role in the building European collective defense according to the military bloc’s activity. The author of the article does remark specific actions taken by Berlin to achieve a desired level of combat capability within NATO, and individual contradictions between the members of the Alliance that negatively impacts on the collective cooperation strengthening amidst the increasing world tensions are written.
