The relevance of the study is determined by the need for sociological analysis of the existing mechanisms for social inclusion of graduates of the assistance centers for children left without parental care. The article presents the results of an empirical sociological research (ESR) describing the current changes in the system of social support for orphans and children left without parental care in the city of Novosibirsk. Particular attention is paid to studying and characterizing the role and place of specialized secondary educational institutions and higher educational institutions in this process. Based on the analysis of the results obtained, recommendations for the implementation of social support for this socially vulnerable category of youth are formed for the abovementioned institutions, and the nuances of interagency cooperation between the participants of social support for orphans and children left without parental care in Novosibirsk are highlighted.
