The role of the emotive vocabulary in the English children's literature (based on the stories of Roald Dahl)

The article deals with the study of the role of the emotive vocabulary in the stories of the British children’s writer - R. Dahl. There are revealed the sematic peculiarities of the emotives, considering their meanings of the emotive state, relations and characterizations. The authors describe the axiological characteristics of the emotive vocabulary in the stories of R. Dahl. There is carried out the quantitative analysis of the vocabulary in the writer’s stories, there is concluded about the significance of the emotives in the text.
