He results of the combined treatment of 427 patients with chemotherapy according to schemes ABVD, ВЕАСОРР and CEA/ABVD were analyzed so that to formulate a number of basic principles of therapy using criterion of nodal relapse development. We developed the classification of efficiency assessment in the 1st line chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s disease, which allows to define the groups of patients with high risk of nodal relapse. The probability of nodal relapse is 20-30 times higher in patients with poor regress of the tumor (0-79 %) after that treatment. The multispiral technique using thin slices, high resolution techniques, computer processing of the information with volume reconstruction in frontal and sagittal planes allow to estimate the regress degree more precisely, than in the standard X-ray examination. CT axial scans at identical levels of the thorax also provide the important information allowing correct interpretation of the treatment effect. The described clinical examples and the results of the research will lead to re-evaluation of the criterion of percentage regress, as the major risk factor for disease-free survival.
