The modern civilization has entered the third millennium with a load of unsolved problems. Emerging global problems have no parallel in the history of mankind, so new approaches are needed to solve them. The globalization has involved all the continents of the world into close cooperation and communication. The contradictions of various kinds have reached such a degree of severity that civilization is now under the threat of death. The globalization increases the desire of the people and regions to self-identification, so this circumstance leads to the «clash of civilizations». Classical philosophical system that produced the base of being on a regional scale, have exhausted their potential. The modern challenges demand the creation of the survival philosophy, the purpose of which is to provide the elaboration of bases of being on a global scale. This article analyzes the dialogism as a factor of the survival philosophy. There are three main areas of dialogism, related to the development of dialogical discourse with the names of M. M. Bakhtin, M. Buber and K. Jaspers. M.M. Bakhtin’s decisive contribution to the concept of dialogism is revealed here. Its compound with the sympathy principle creates the best conditions for understanding. The article also raises the problem regarding the need to develop a system of measures for the implementation of dialogic discourse in all spheres of human activity and communication.
