The role of US non-state information sources in the formation of information supply system for agricultural sector

The information supply system for the US agricultural sector, studied in other works, does not exhaust the existing opportunities for obtaining useful and necessary information for farmers. The comprehensive study of information products and services offered to farmers allows us to conclude that at present, representatives of almost all areas of agribusiness are actively involved in this market, as well as a wide range of specialized information, analytical and consulting firms: dealers, agricultural cooperatives, industry associations, brokerage companies, agricultural consultants, specialized information agencies, private information weather services, etc. The approaches of meteorological services (national and private) to providing information about weather and natural disasters are presented. The data obtained by US farmers and required by them for the production and distribution of agricultural products from various non-governmental organizations are summarized. All these organizations form the information supply of US agricultural sector, and the presented information will be useful for domestic designers of the information support system for the agricultural sector, researchers and university teachers studying the issues of information support for agriculture.
