Role of neurotrophic factors in neurodegenerative diseases

The discovery of the properties of neuroplasticity set in motion the era of scientific research on the role of neurotrophic factors in degenerative diseases of the central nervous system. The purpose of these studies is not only to expand the understanding of the pathogenesis of diseases, but also to search for new promising methods of diagnosis and treatment. The authors give a review of the literature devoted to the study of the role of the neurotrophic brain factor in the onset of Alzheimer''s disease, Parkinson''s disease and Huntington''s disease.
