The role of educational anthropology in development of Russian pedagogical research in the first third of the XX th century

The article analyzes the history of emergence and development of Russian pedology. The author refers to K. D. Ushinskiy’s ideas of the need for a comprehensive study of a man, which are reflected in pedological research of Russian scientists in the first third of the 20 th century
