The role of public order units in conducting special operations in the context of emerging protest potential

The article examines the issues of creation and application of special units of the law enforcement system of the Russian Federation. The tasks assigned to the SOBR (Special Rapid Response Unit), riot police and special forces of the penal enforcement system, especially for special operations, have been identified. The specifics of the use of forces and means by special units in conditions of special operations have been determined. The conclusion is made about the need for an integrated and coordinated approach to protect public order and ensure the national security of the state in the context of the emerging protest potential. The issues of possible involvement of private security organizations by the state to protect public order are also being considered.
