The role of understanding in the formation of destructive image of the world

The article discusses how understanding influences formation of destructive image of the world. The understanding is defined as an important cognitive component of identity development, which in turn moulds subjective picture of the world, its image for a person. It has been found that the peculiarities of understanding or misunderstanding of the human reality, especially sociocultural one, lead to the formation of specific images of the world, including destructive ones. The author suggests some measures, adoption of which will prevent development of destructive images of the world, first and foremost, in young people
