The role of proverbs and sayings in the education of schoolchildren

This article discusses the history of collecting proverbs and sayings in the history of Kyrgyzstan, preserved as a rich heritage of oral folklore of the Kyrgyz and passed down from generation to generation, from century to century. As is known, they describe the history, life, traditions, ideas, customs, and linguistic wealth of any nation. The work analyzes the methodological and methodological value of using proverbs and sayings in educating children. The author notes that the use of proverbs and sayings in the process of educating a schoolchild is an important indicator of his general cultural growth, along with moral, spiritual and intellectual development. This serves not only as a way of immersing the student in the cultural environment, but also creates conditions for his self-development, improves communication skills, and also promotes the acquisition of new knowledge and the assimilation of cultural values.
