Culture is a universal means of social interaction, since it is the product of human activity striving for a moral ideal. This is the path to God's understanding. Consequently, the attraction to a high moral and noble culture is a desire for knowledge of God, because in this way a person can restore the image of the Creator in himself. For a believer, culture is an opportunity in the mortal world to find the former primordial bliss that the first people in paradise were endowed with. Hence the scientific novelty of this study. It consists in studying the process of mutual influence of the religious component (as a striving for a sacred ideal) and social civic responsibility. The article attempts a diachronic analysis of the Church's impact on human political socialization. The practical significance of this study is determined by the possibility of applying its main theses and conclusions to create various kinds of educational, cultural, patriotic programs for educating citizens. The work employs a number of methods, the main of which are: historical and cultural, including the characterization of the diversity and interaction of folk and supranational Christian culture, and the method of structural functionalism, emphasizing the importance of the interaction of individual elements of society.
