The author examines the influence of the transformation of spatio-temporal concepts on the formation of the aesthetic consciousness of the Western European Renaissance. The consideration of space and time as a means of assembling reality goes back to the notion of transcendental aesthetics of Kant, in which space and time are the kinds of pure a priori intuitions. Proceeding from this, the concept of the Renaissance aesthetic mechanism is proposed, defined as a metamorphosis of forms of sensibility that map reality and organize experience. The result of the revision of their content was the evolution of aesthetic consciousness, which set new directions for art and culture. The author outlines the factors of the dynamics of spatio-temporal configurations during the Renaissance and the influence of this process on the sensory-bodily experience and its representation; the hierarchies of the body and feelings; Renaissance subjectivism. The significance of the concept of sensibility for modern scientific research and understanding of the aesthetics of the Renaissance is substantiated. Furthermore, a mechanism is proposed for studying transitional eras that are in the process of reformatting the sensibility.
