The article examines the peculiarities of the emergence and manifestation of foreign language anxiety of non-linguistic university students, examines the impact of foreign language anxiety on their motivation to foreign language learning, and determines how the main aspects of project activity affect the foreign language anxiety reduction. A parallel is drawn between the use of personality traits and the level of foreign language proficiency and the choice of functional roles during the collective work on the project.
