The article attempts to analyse the poetics of the titles of the from B.L. Pasternak’s cycle “Peredelkono”. As they reflect the content in general and unite the poems into one cycle, the titles are systemically important to implement the general artistic concept of the “Peredelkino” poems. Pasternak considered that “critical stage” a groundbreaking for his creative work. For instance, the priority order of the titles in the “Peredelkino” cycle demonstrates the important motif of seasonal cycle: “Summer day” - “Winter’s ending” - “Spring again”. Pasternak treats this season alternation (hic est. natural cycle) like the so-called “guarantee” of immortality: spring (the symbol of resurrection) will certainly follow winter (stands for death). In “Peredelkino”, living his life according to this cycle, the narrator gets an immortality of his own. While choosing the titles of “Poems of Jury Zhivago”, Pasternak lately uses the same seasonal principle, as well as in his last book of poems “When it clears up”. In “Peredelkino” cycle (the first poem cycle by B. Pasternak that is composed of “titled” poems only), Pasternak worked out certain principle of titling that he would use further on. Moreover, that principle became one of the features of Pasternak’s late poetry.
