Role of media in preventing and curbing corruption in the USA

The transparency of the state and municipal bodies activity is increasingly important for the prevention and curbing corruption. In conditions of such transparency the dishonest officials have less possibilities for abusings their duties. That is why much attention is paid to providing proper guarantees to the activity of the various civil institutions. These institutions are called upon to exercise continuous control over the officials. The role of mass-media in curbing corruption in the USA is considered in this article.
