The role of social and information technologies in the preparation of master’s graduation theses in theology

The aim of this article is to substantiate the significant role of social and information technologies in the preparation of graduation theses by master’s students in the field of Theology. A review of the literature concerning various aspects of the topic is presented, alongside the results of a study conducted by the authors, which involved a survey among the students of master’s program in theology. The article evaluates the impact of the academic discipline “Social and Information Technologies in Science and Education” on the development of skills necessary for the use of technology during the writing and defense of graduation theses. Studying this discipline gives the students of the master’s program in theology a correct and multifaceted understanding of the means of using information technologies in science and education, gives knowledge and forms skills in using computer hardware and software in their future professional activities. The article discusses the sequential stages involved in the preparation of graduation theses by master’s students in both Orthodox and Islamic theology, including the stage of thesis defense employing social and information technologies.
