The role of secondary education in the socio-economic development of the region

The article considers the role of secondary education in the socio-economic development of the region by case study of Tyumen region. The place of general education is estimated on the basis of the analysis of basic strategic documents of regional development, which has shown the lack of the planned quantitative characteristics of the general education system and consideration of the regional specific features. Accordingly, the authors propose to modify the monitoring system of regional general education system development by introducing a set of quantitative and qualitative indicators.
