The article considers the features of the influence of computer information and information technologies on the emergence of new types of crimes, the investigation of which requires the production of computer-technical expertise. The concept of expert activity is given, the types of computer-technical expertise and the methods used in this type of expertise are systematized. The article reveals the features of computer-technical expertise in cases of crimes related to the illegal organization and conduct of gambling.
