The role of testing in assessing the effectiveness of educational programs: theory and practice

The article presents the results of research that highlighted the significant role of testing in the educational process, emphasizing the need for an improved approach and balance in its application. The authors propose the "Harmony of Assessment" program, which combines regular tests with projects and group work, potentially enhancing education quality and reducing student stress. A critical part of the recommendations is the "Stress Management for Students" program, aimed at teaching students how to manage anxiety related to testing. Additionally, the authors suggest training teachers in the development of diverse assessment forms, which contributes to their professional development and enhances the quality of the educational process. The introduction of a system for the regular monitoring of testing effects will allow for the adaptation of teaching methods to students' needs and ensure a comfortable learning environment. The data obtained and the proposed recommendations provide a foundation for further research and improvements in the education system at both individual school levels and broader levels.
