Role of hospitality tradition in folk pedagogy of Abkhazians

Adaptation of national foundations to realities of the modern world and control of children’s knowledge in this sphere, determination of educational potential of the traditions and customs influencing a child since his birth emphasize the relevance of the subject. Besides an embodiment of ancestors’ heritage, traditions represent the children training mechanism having accumulated huge experience of national pedagogic worth examining. The author offers systematic studying of etiquette and universal national standards of behavior in every educational institution of the republic since customs of the Abkhazian people are capable to make productive educational impact. The paper speaks about educational properties of the remarkable centuries-old tradition of the Abkhazians - hospitality, considered through a prism of the national pedagogy. It is, as one of national educational tools, urged to help representatives of ethnos in development of the younger generation according to laws of the civilized world, without forgetting about own heritage in attempt to keep an exclusive national originality that caused the actuality of the subject. The author claims that traditions of the Abkhazian people, hospitality in particular, are capable to make the productive educational impact, when studying on a constant basis of ethnocultural and universal standards of behavior, national customs.
