The role of housing construction in the integrated development of rural areas

The authors analyze the main directions of state policy in the sphere of housing construction in rural areas. They note the importance of such construction both for comprehensive regional development, attracting labor force to the agricultural sector and other sectors of the economy, and for increasing the attractiveness of the rural way of life, equalizing the quality of life in rural, sparsely populated and urbanized areas. They conclude that measures of state support in the field of housing development in rural areas should be differentiated depending on the economic characteristics and potential of a specific territory, and the planned activities should be synchronized.
