Initiation novel as an invariant form of educational novel

The article is dedicated to the comparative analysis of educational novel and initiation novel. Initiation novel is considered as an invariant model of educational novel. The author compares the type of character, events, the features of the composite structure in both types. The author came to the conclusion that the progressive movement of the character in the paradigm of truth, good and beauty is replaced by the possibility of existential revolution in the consciousness of the character and the proof of the possibility of his being.
