Russia and the Middle East: Partnership in the Context of New Geopolitics

The increasing sanctions and political pressure on Russia from the European Union and NATO countries has led to the intensification of the formation of regional and transregional mechanisms for economic integration and cooperation in various spheres, the creation of multi-format partnerships to address emerging issues, and the strengthening of Russia's cooperation with Eastern countries. The objective of this study was to analyze Russia's multifaceted cooperation with Middle Eastern countries, identifying not only the successes achieved but also the systemic challenges that determine the prospects for this mutually beneficial vector. The authors note that today, Russia's relations with this group of countries are commonly referred to as a multifaceted and mutually beneficial partnership. Strengthening partnerships with Eastern countries provides an opportunity to create favorable conditions for Russia in the global economy and politics, strengthening its position in the modern global architecture.
