Within the framework of this scientific article, the role of hand-to-hand combat in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is analyzed. The relevance of the topic is due to the shortage of personnel and, as a result, the problem of low internal motivation of employees for self-development during off-duty hours. This applies not only to the intellectual sphere, but also to the unwillingness to master new technologies and improve key professional skills, including resistance to prolonged physical and psychological stress. In this context, hand-to-hand combat is considered as a comprehensive system that promotes personal development. It is aimed at improving the level of general and special physical fitness, as well as at developing a deep understanding of the principles of attack and defense, including the technical elements of throws and wrestling in the stalls. In the educational program of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the discipline "Hand-to-hand combat" has established itself as a universal combat system. With its high functional potential, this type of martial arts continues to evolve and is widely recognized both nationally and internationally.
